Hockey

                               Hockey is a family of sports in which two team play against each other by trying to maneuver a ball or a puck into the opponent,s goal using a hockey stick.It is much popular in worldwide.There are six types of hockey .They are; Field hockey,Ice hockey,Roller hockey(quad),Street hockey,Roller hockey(inline) and sledge hockey.
                                                     Field hockey is played on gravel natural grass, sand based artificial  turf, with a small, hard ball approximately 73 mm(2.9in) in diameter. the game is popular among both males and females in many parts of the world, particularly in Europe,Asia,Australia,New Zealand and South Africa. Modern field hockey sticks are J-shaped and constructed of a composite of wood, glass fibre

.

                       Ice hockey is played on a large flat area of ice, using a three-inch-diameter(76.2) vulcanized rubber disc called a puck. The game is contested between two teams of skaters. The game is played all over North America, Europe and in many other countries around the world to varying extent. It is most popular sport in Canada, Finland, Latvia, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia.
                                           Roller hockey, also known as quad hockey, international-style ball hockey, and Hoquei em patins is an overarching name for a roller sport that has existed since long before inline skates were invented. This sport is played in over sixty countries and has a worldwide following. Roller hockey was a demonstration sport at the 1992 Barcelona Summer Olympics.
                                                          Sledge hockey is a form of ice hockey designed for player with physical disabilities affecting their lower bodies. Players sit on double-bladed sledges and use two sticks; each stick has a blade at one end and small picks the other.

Kho Kho

                                            Kho-Kho is a tag sport played by teams of twelve players who try to avoid being touched by member of the opposing team ,only 9 players of the team enter the field. It one of the most traditional tag games of south Asia ,the other being kabbadi .Apart from south Asia (mainly India and Pakistan ),is also played in South Africa. A Kho-Kho  playground or pitch is rectangular .It is 29 meters in length and 16 metres in width. there are two rectangles is 16 metre and the other side is 2.75 metres .In the middle of these two rectangles ,there are two wooden poles .The post is made of wooden poles which are smooth all over .The posts are fixed firmly in the free zone tangent to the post-line at a height between 120 to 125 cm.It is played in the rules and regulations.
                                                            The player who goes out of the rules it is known as foul. Each team consists of 12 players,but only nine players take the field. A match consists of two innings .An innings consists of chasing and running turns of 9 minutes each. Than, one team sits/knells in the middle of court ,in a row ,with adjacent members facing opposite directions. The chasers ends in the shortest time possible.The team that takes the shortest time to tag all the opponents in the field, wins.The equipments used in Kho Kho are posts ,strings,metallic measuring tape ,lime power ,wire nails ,two watches ,two type of rings having inners circumferences of 30 cm and 40 cm, score shorts (like a whistle,for instance),and some stationery to write results etc...
                               

Baseball

Baseball is a bat and ball played between two teams of nine player who take turns batting and base running. The offence attempts more runs than its opponents by hitting a ball throw by a pitcher with a bat and moving counter-clockwise. Around a series of four bases: first ,second ,third and home plate . A run is scored when the runner advanced the bases and returns to home plate. It is played all over the world. It is first played in mid 18th century or perior ,England and it's first rules had made on June 19 ,1846, Hoboken ,New Jersey .
                                             Baseball , widely known as American,s past time ,is well established in several other countries as well .the game is played on a field whose primary boundaries ,the fouls lines ,extend forward from home plate at 45-degree angles .The 90-degree area within the foul lines is refferred  to as fair territory ;270-degree outside them is fall territory. For a team sport ,baseball places individual players under unusual scrutiny and pressure. In 1915, a baseball instructional manual pointed out that every single pitch ,of which there are often more than two hundred in a game. Cricket is more similar to baseball in many other team sports in this regards: while the individual focus in cricket is mitigated by the importance of the batting partnership and the practicalities of tendem running,

Basketball

                                 Basketball is a sport played by two teams of five players on a rectangular court. The objective is to shoot a ball through a hoop 18 inches (46 cm) in diameter and 10 feet (3.0 m) high mounted to a backboard at each end. Basketball is one of the world's most popular and widely viewed sports. Its acronym, derived from the French Fédération Internationale de Basketball Amateur, was thus "FIBA". Men's Basketball was first included at the Berlin 1936 summer olympics,although a demonstration tournament was held in 1904.

In 1891, the University  of california  and Miss Head's School played the first women's interinstitutional game. Women's basketball began in 1892 at smith collage when senda berenson, a physical education teacher, modified Naismith's rules for women.
                                                  The object of the game is to outscore one's opponents by throwing the ball through the opponents' basket from above while preventing the opponents from doing so on their own. An attempt to score in this way is called a shot. A successful shot is worth two points, or three points if it is taken from beyond the three-point arc which is 6.75 metres (22 ft 2 in) from the basket in international games and 23 feet 9 inches (7.24 m) in NBA games. A one-point shot can be earned when shooting from the foul line after a foul is made. It had got much popularity in short period of time in worldwide. 
                                                                               It is the game which is played between two teams. Basketball's early adherents were dispatched to YMCAs throughout the United States, and it quickly spread through the USA and Canada. By 1895, it was well established at several women's high schools.It is much popular and well played in Nepal.Any player is not allowed to play out of the rule. Many kind of rules are made by" FIBA".

Kabaddi

                         Modern Kabaddi is a synthesis of the game played in various forms under different names. Kabaddi is the national game of our country. Kabaddi received international exposure during the 1936 Berlin olympics  demonstrated by Hanuman Vyayam Prasarak Mandal, Anaravati Maharashtra. The game was introduced in the Indian Olympic Games at Calcutta in 1938. It is played between two teams having seven player each with four extra player. The game is started with a toss and winner of the toss selected either court or rider.The Asia Kabaddi cup has been held twice in consecutive years. The Inaugural tournament was held in the year 2011 in Iran. In 2012 the Asia Kabaddi Cup was held in Lahore,Punjab from 1 to 5 November. It is considered one of the biggest events for circle style Kabaddi.
                The Kabaddi World Cup was first played in 2004 and then in 2007 and 2010. So far India is the unbeaten champion in Kabaddi World Cup. Iran is the next most successful nation being twice runner up. It is played in Nepal in different levels game. Every year many competations are held in Nepal. Kabaddi is played by both men and women. It is played under the rules and regulations. No player can use the fair techniques during the play. Government had given much priority in this game.
                                                                         The court is divided into two half by a net. The Kabaddi Federation of India (KFI) was founded in 1950, and it compiled a standard set of rules. The Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India (AKFI) was founded in 1973. The AKFI has given new shape to the rules and it has also the rights of modification in the rules.

Table tannis

                                              The game takes place on a hard table divided by a net. Except for the initial serve, players must allow a ball played toward them only one bounce on their side of the table and must return it so that it bounces on the opposite side. Points are scored when a player fails to return the ball within the rules .It is played between two single player and double player .The game is started by doing a toss between two player and winner of the toss selected either court or service. It had got much popularity in short period of time and it is played in worldwide. 
                            It was first played in england 1880s. Table tennis is governed by the worldwide organization international Table tennis federation (ITTF), founded in 1926.The table is 2.74 m (9 ft) long, 1.52 m (5 ft) wide, and 76 cm (30 inch) high with a Masonite (a type of hardboard) or similarly manufactured timber, layered with a smooth, low-friction coating. The table or playing surface is divided into two halves by a 15.25 cm (6 inch) high net.It is played in the rules and regulation.
                                                         Founded in 1926, the International Table tennis Federation (ITTF) is the worldwide governing body for table tennis, which maintains an international ranking system in addition to organizing events like the World Table tennis championships.Many organization are made which are under the table tennis.It had got much popularity in Nepal also.  

Volleyball

                        Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. It has been a part of the official program of the summer games since 1964. It has been a part of the official program of the summer games since 1964. The game is started by doing a toss between two captain and winner of captain decided either service or court . The game is played in two half having a interval .
                                                                            The winner of team throw a ball to the opponent court .The receiving team must not let the ball be grounded within their court. The team may touch the ball up to 3 times but individual players may not touch the ball twice consecutively. Typically, the first two touches are used to set up for an attack, an attempt to direct the ball back over the net in such a way that the serving team is unable to prevent it from being grounded in their court .The ball is usually played with the hands or arms, but players can legally strike or push (short contact) the ball with any part of the body.
                                                                                 Volleyball is played under the rules and regulation . There are various kinds of rules which player should follow .Such as the player is not allowed to hit the ball except hands other wise it is called as fall .The team which score 21 point first win the game . The player cannot use the fair technique during the play .The game is played between two half having a interval and it had been popular in very short period of time .

Badminton

                             Badminton is the game which is played between two teams . There is a single and double game . Single game is played between two single players and double game means played between both side double player . Badminton had got more popularity in short period of time . Badminton was established India          
. It was played for the first in 17th century . Another source cities that it was in 1877 at Karachi in India, where the first attempt was made to set a form of rule .
                                                               In 1893, the badminton association of England published the first set of rules accordion to these regulations, similar to the todays rules. Badminton is which should be played accordion to rules such as, the player cannot use the fair techniques during the play . the court is rectangular and divided into haves by a net . Courts are usually marked for both singles and doubles play . The full width of court is 6.1 m(20ft) ,in single this width is reduced to 5.18 m . The net is 1.55m high at the edges and 1.524m high at the middle .
                                  It is very important to play for every people . It help to make good health . It helps to make body fit . There are many techniques of playing the Badminton and player can use different skills for receiving and hitting shuttlecock.

Football

Football is a game which is played between two teams having  eleven member each . Football had got much popularity in the short period of time . It is played in worldwide . Football is played in International level , National level , Olympics and different other levels . It is also called as 'soccer' and mostly it is called as 'football' . Football was established by England .  Football world cup is played in every four  years .

                                       In every four years Football world cup is played between thirty six teams . There are many benefits of Football . Such as " it makes our body fit and it also help us to be free from different diseases . Various forms of Football can be identified in history, often as popular peasant games .Football is very important for every peoples in the world . Many books of Football had been written by different writers . It is also included in the schools levels in health subjects . It is very important for every people to know about the Football  .
                                   In Nepal it is also played . Many Nepalese people had interests in football . In  Nepal
thousands of people take part in the football game and governments of Nepal also give more interests in Football . During the twentieth century ,various codes of football became amongst the most popular teams sports in the world .

Cricket

cricket is a bat and ball game played between two opponent team with 11 player and 3 extra player in circular field . Each team have a chance to bat and hit as many run as they can. it team is known as inning . The game start as one team start bowling and the opponent team strike the boll. the rule of cricket is is maintained by Inter National Cricket council (ICC). in the beginning if the game the captain of both the team toss for choosing they want either batting or bowling. each team has to bat until they are dismissed. once the 10 batsman are dismissed then is is called all out. a person who play cricket is known as cricketer.

Cricket was first played in south england in 16th century. By the end of 18th century it has been developed into national game.The expansion of British empire led to cricket being played overseas and by the mid 19th 1st international  was being  held.

while playing a match between two team there are two umpire who give the decision while game is being played. the decision given by the umpire is the last decision and there should be any objection in the decision of the umpire.
 now in the world there are three format of cricket game being played under the rules of ICC, which can be indicated as below...

- One day international game i.e of 50-50 over match.
- Test match i.e played up to 5 days.
- Twenty Twenty match i.e 20-20 over game.
